Carleton University

Located in Ottawa, Canada's capital, Carleton University, once a small college, has more than 65 programs of study and 27,000 students from all over the world. Hastily founded during the Second World War the college expanded rapidly to meet the needs of the returning war veterans and it has been expanding ever since. Today it is one of the most modern of environments and satellite video conference and television feeds are available in 90 locations throughout campus. There are also many rooms with dedicated laptop power outlets available for anyone in attendance. Carleton has absolutely embraced the 21st century digital age. Comedian and actor Dan Aykroyd studied here, as did Conrad Black, former newspaper publisher, biographer and media proprietor.
