Birkbeck University, part of the University of London offers a huge range of courses of study particularly aimed at working people who require evening study and is renowned for its adult education courses. It offers many master's degrees, PHD programs as well as degrees, diplomas and certificates most of which can be studied on a part time or full time basis though there are very few full-time undergraduates (there were none at all in 2005). Located in Bloomsbury in central London, one of Birkbeck's buildings is Virginia Woolf's old house in Gordon Square. TS Eliot and Tracey Emin both attended Birkbeck.
