University of Exeter

The University of Exeter is renowned for being a Campus based Institution that lends itself to a friendly, close knit student community. The Campus is relatively small, well connected and easy to navigate. In the summer there are few universities to rival its charm in terms of location and its access to seemingly endless green pastures. Whilst the city itself offers little in terms of cultural diversity, the environs and access to the coast and Cornwall offer a gateway to the outdoors.

My overall impression of the teaching is good, although i am sure this varies according to the department, but as a modern languages student i was impressed by the number of quality professors and their expertise.

Socially Exeter is limited in terms of alternative nights. A few clubs tend to dominate proceedings but then at a university where most people tend to know one another there is no need for anything more.

Exeter caters more than adequately accross the academic,sporting, cultural and dramatic sectors. Everything is within reach and readily available given that the university is well funded and not overpowered by student numbers.

Probably not the cheapest university in the UK but by no means expensive. Accomodation is good value, often spacious and well located in relation to Campus.
