If you really want to be a true business leader join us and we’ll show you the way giving you the generalist insight, skills and knowledge to take you anywhere in our business. Exactly where you’ll go during the programme – and exactly how you’ll develop – is hard to say for sure, as we respond to your developing skills and interests on the way. Together, we’ll decide which path is right for you, and the kind of business exposure you need to get your career journey off to the best possible start.

On the programme, you’ll undertake three year long placements all of which could be in different locations, so it’s important that you’re geographically mobile. Each one is designed to give you an insight into the full scale and scope of our business, so you’ll not only have a more rounded understanding of our vast operation, but also the skills essential for success in any one of them. Industrial placements

A temporary stop with permanent potential

On these year long placements you’ll find out if Lloyds TSB really is the place for you. As one of the UK's largest financial services organisations, we’ll provide excellent development opportunities with real work and real responsibility in all the major business functions. You’ll gain valuable experience along with the kind of transferable skills that every employer longs for. But we’re putting our money on you coming back for more when you’ve completed your degree.

The programme is taken in the penultimate year of your university course, and it doesn’t matter what you’re studying. So if you’re currently in your second year of study and expect to achieve at least a 2:1, it’s time to drop everything else and get on board. Our selection criteria is strict and, if you’re successful, we’ll be looking for evidence that you are self-motivated, thrive on challenge, have good communication and team skills, and are both customer and business aware. If you’ve got what it takes they’ll be no stopping you.

Summer Internship programme (23 June 2008 - 12 September 2008)

The place to be this summer

Make the most of your summer holidays this year and go on an altogether different kind of trip. The kind that will take you on a journey of discovery, and end with the kind of invaluable experience that will help you on your future career path.

We’ll even give you some travel money in the form of a competitive salary for the duration of your 12 week placement - which equates to £15, 500 for the Group programme and £18,500 for Corporate Markets (plus up to £3,450 London allowance where applicable) - pro rata. And if you’re impressed (and impress us) we may even’ fast-track’ you to the Leadership Programme when you graduate. If you are expecting to achieve a minimum 2:1 we’ve got two programmes.

Group Internships – a brief but valuable insight into the heart of our business – an invaluable foundation to a long-term career.
